Software

I have been designing 3D models for almost 4 years and my go-to software has always been Fusion 360.

Having recently bought a 3D printer I have begun to print some practical objects such as hooks for the inside of a storage box or a a stand for different card receipts.

Fusion is also great because it is a parametric software and has a very useful timeline feature allowing you to undo one feature, add another and then follow it up with the features you undid.

Fusion is free to use for hobbyists and is very versatile although limited to 10 editable documents at a time with hobbyist subscription.

Another useful 3D design software I use regularly is called Onshape and like Fusion is a parametric software and can be used to create models with ease especially due to the fact that unlike Fusion 360, Onshape is completely cloud based meaning there is no need to download or install the software and the older, slower computers will be able to use Onshape and design 3D models needing only a browser and internet access rather than a more powerful computer.
